White House warns of crackdown on Marijuana
In a departure from the Obama administration’s policies, the White House said today (Thursday 2/23) that the Trump administration is likely to crack down on, at least, recreational marijuana use.
“I do think you’ll see greater enforcement,” said White House press secretary Sean Spicer. “The Department of Justice, I think, will be further looking into [the issue]. I believe they are going to continue to enforce the laws on the books with respect to recreational marijuana.”
He went on to draw a short distinction between marijuana use for “medical” purposes, and compared recreational marijuana to being a distinguished factor in the nation’s opioid epidemic.
Yet again, it would seem as though Mr. Trump will not stand up to his own campaign promises. The real question is, if he is green lighting the DOJ to go after voter approved marijuana AND he has already appointed Jeff Sessions as our current Attorney General – who is to say it stops here?
In what seems to be an effort to tear our nation apart, the Trump cronies are doing everything possible to disendow everything that the Obama administration put forth over the last eight years. They are putting you and I in the middle of a personal vendetta with no regard for how it effects The People.
